Tracey Coleman is a Lecturer in Law at Adelaide University in South Australia and having joined in 2008 as a founding staff member at the University of South Australia Law School. As a lecturer, Tracey is teaching focused and specialises in first year courses. Tracey takes a keen academic interest in student’s transitions to university and their Law School studies.
Tracey has been a recipient of the Achievement in Teaching and Learning Awards during her teaching career. 
Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts (History), Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honors) from Flinders University. Post graduate study includes a Graduate Diploma in Art History from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma Teaching (Digital Learning) from the University of South Australia.
Prior to joining the UniSA Law School, Tracey was a Solicitor and Barrister specialising in criminal defence. She has also held legal roles at the Department of Public Prosecution, District Court Associate, Commercial Lawyer specialising in property and succession law.
While Tracey’s background is in legal practice, she takes a keen research interest in the depiction of law in art and this inspired Tracey to complete a post graduate qualification in Art History. Tracey incorporates the depiction of law in art across her teaching areas and is a member of the Judicial Images Network, a network of scholars and practitioners supported by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.  Tracey has hosted study tours to England and Italy titled "Law through Art and Literature".
