I am an interdisciplinary researcher, educator and science communicator, and Dean of Programs for UniSA STEM (Information Technology, Mathematics and Data Science). My research spans geology and geochemistry, data analytics and visualisation, immersive technology and digital twins. Since 2014, I have led Project LIVE (Learning through Immersive Virtual Environments), a University-wide initiative focused on creating high-quality virtual and augmented reality experiences that bridge the research-teaching nexus. I am also a member of the Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments (IVE), focusing on the application of digital visualisation technologies in geoscience, including immersive analytics for geochemical and geophysical datasets and enhanced drill core logging using augmented reality. This research forms part of the MinEx CRC.
