Tohid Abedi is a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at Adelaide University, supported by an AU Project-Based Scholarship. His research focuses on the planning and operation of hybrid renewable energy and battery storage systems, with particular emphasis on electricity-market participation, investment decision-making, and the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM). Before commencing his PhD, Tohid worked as a Project Researcher at the University of Vaasa, Finland, contributing to international research projects including Best4Grid and AIM4NORD, in collaboration with research institutions such as KTH, SINTEF, DTU, and VTT. His broader research interests include electricity markets, energy storage, hybrid power plants, renewable energy integration, power-system optimisation, frequency security, and decision-making under uncertainty.

My research interests include electricity markets, IBR integration, power system optimisation, uncertainty modelling, electric vehicles, power system security, and frequency stability.
