Shaeny Chandra specialises in the intersections of public health, behavioral economics, nutrition, and food insecurity monitoring. Her doctoral research focuses on improving food relief systems to ensure they provide both sufficient and nutritionally adequate foods for people experiencing food insecurity. Shaeny is an Accredited Practising Nutritionist and Dietitian, with experience in clinical nutrition and dietetics, food science, and community and public health nutrition.
She is currently supervised by Helen Morris, Dr Scott Hanson-Easey and Dr Olena Kravchuk.
