Timothy McIntyre graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Mechatronics Engineering (Hons) from the University of South Australia in 2018. He has previously worked within the home automation industry where his key tasks were to develop electrical and electronic test strategies, product industrialisation, and the design and commission of required test equipment to offshore factories.
Timothy joined the University of South Australia in late 2017 and is currently a UAS Academic Research Assistant under the guidance of Prof. Javaan Chahl.
Timothy received the Clipsal by Schneider Electric Prize for outstanding Honours project in 2018 and is a Graduate Member of Engineers Australia.
Timothy's key knowledge base is Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, and Prototyping. He has experience with CAD/CAM design (Solidworks and Fusion 360), C/C++/Python embedded programming, PCB design (Altium/KiCad) and System Modeling (MATLAB and Simulink) and a high level of experience in NI LabView and Teststand. Timothy also holds an Advanced Diploma in Electronics Engineering and Trade level certification.
