I am a Research Botanist with a joint-appointment at the School of Biological Sciences (University of Adelaide) and the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium (DEW, SA Gov.). In my role, I conduct research on the evolution, systematics and taxonomy of native Australian plants and contribute to teaching Evolutionary Biology III (ENV BIOL 3590), Evolution of Australian Biota III (ENV BIOL 3560), and Plant Identification II (ENV BIOL 2510). At the State Herbarium, I also conduct plant identification services and help to maintain South Australia's Plant Census, among other duties.

I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in 2024 that was funded by the Australian Biological Resource Study's National Taxonomy Research Grant Program (DCCEEW, Australian Gov.). The project involved studying the systematics and resolving the taxonomy of the very diverse Australian genus Hibbertia (guinea flowers) and writing the Flora of Australia treatments for the Dilleniaceae (including Hibbertia, Dillenia and Tetracera). I earned my PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2019, completing my thesis on the systematics and taxonomy of the Australian plant genus Ptilotus (Amaranthaceae). I have published numerous studies on these two plant groups.
