Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD (as Co-Supervisor) - email supervisor to discuss availability.

My current position is Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Waycott Lab (School of Biological Sciences) and Research Associate at the State Herbarium of South Australia.

My current research is focused on the evolution, systematics and taxonomy of the plant family Dilleniaceae, and specifically the Australian species of Hibbertia (currently > 300 species).

My current project is delivering a revisionary taxonomic treatment for the Australian members of Dilleniaceae and Hibbertia (the first since 1863). The taxonomic treatment will be delivered in species and genus profiles and published on the Flora of Australia platform (https://profiles.ala.org.au/opus/foa). In addition to species profiles, comprehensive identification keys for all recognised taxa are being constructed and will be made available online for the public (see https://keybase.rbg.vic.gov.au/keys/show/11717). Phylogenomics methods are also being used to resolve the evolutionary tree of Hibbertia and to use this phylogeny to study the its historical biogeography and floral character evolution. I am also working on describing new Hibbertia species and revising the taxonomy and/or nomenclature of existing species.

I am also collaborating on projects focused on the systematics and taxonomy of various plant groups, including Ptilotus (Amaranthaceae), Gomphrena (Amaranthaceae) and Swainsona (Fabaceae).
