Wimukthi is a PhD candidate and tutor at the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University. His work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, online higher education, and social learning with a focus on improving learning experiences in online higher education. With experience in data analysis and mixed-methods research, Wimukthi examines learner engagement, interaction, and outcomes in digital learning environments. His research is broadly grounded in the Community of Inquiry and Activity-Centred Analysis and Design frameworks, which inform his approach to understanding and designing for effective social learning. He explores how AI can be meaningfully integrated into learning design to support collaboration, coordination, and feedback. Alongside his research, he is actively involved in teaching and supporting students, bringing a practice-informed perspective to curriculum delivery and learning design.
