Mr Thomas Bradshaw
Research Associate
School of Public Health
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
I have experience in quantitative and qualitative psychology research and hold an advanced bachelor’s degree in theoretical physics. I am employed at BetterStart in the School of Public Health where my work focuses on cleaning and preparing datasets for the BEBOLD platform.
I am also a post-submission PhD candidate in the School of Psychology supervised by Associate Professors Amanda LeCouteur and Melissa Oxlad. My research used conversation analysis to investigate interactions that occur during initial CBT consultations in order to generate communication advice for therapists.
My PhD uses Conversation Analysis to analyse the interactions that take place in psychology consultations. This research will allow us to develop and evaluate prevalent therapeutic communication theories, which has potential to improve the delivery of psychological services.
