Research Interest
Cellular networks drive diverse aspects of human biology and perturbation in these networks underlie numerous pathologies including cancer. While cell signalling, and cell-cell interactions play key roles in human health and disease, the mechanisms by which cells transact information to trigger the pathways are not completely understood. The timing and location of their signalling, interactions, the molecular cues exchanged, and the long-term fates of the cells remain poorly characterized in most cases. My research interest is exploiting the mechanisms of cellular signalling, communications and interactions, especially those involving cancer apoptosis, metastases, and immune function by using molecular genetics and systems biology approaches.
