Dr Tarikul Islam is a Lecturer in International Business within the School of Management at Adelaide University. He completed his PhD in International Business Strategy from Deakin Business School, where his research focused on the role of organisational capabilities in emerging economy supplier firms' upgrading in global value chains. His current research interests include internationalisation of emerging economy firms via global value chains (GVCs), governance of cross-border buyer-supplier relationships, GVCs in the era of digitalisation and circular economy, organisational resilience, sustainability, and innovation. His research has received numerous international recognitions and funding. His work has been published in journals such as International Business Review, Management International Review, Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
