Suzanne Hanna is an AMS doctoral student currently undertaking a PhD in Medicine on possible factors associated with improvements in the emotional and mental health and wellbeing of military veterans who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and who have received a specialist assistance dog as part of adjunct treatment. This novel research will examine whether changes associated with PTSD symptom improvements as a result of adjunct treatment over time can be detected in spoken language. She is undertaking her doctorate with Prof Miranda Van Hooff (Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA)), A/Prof Tania Crotti (University of Adelaide) and A/Prof David Kernot (Defence Science and Technology Group).
