I've been an educator since 1979: classroom teacher, vocational education facilitator, lecturer, education consultant, curriculum designer and developer, and quality and compliance manager.
Currently I'm working with initial teacher education students, teaching professional practice, pedagogy, and planning and assessing learning.
My HDR study focus is on the relationship between purpose and governance in higher education. I'm also collaborating on with colleagues on projects related to teaching practices for inclusion learning, curriculum design using a whole of program approach, and application of research skills in business education and business practice.

Working towards PhD (currently enrolled in MPhil)

Research topic - Organisational purpose and its expression in policy in selected Australian universities.

  • What is the nature of the relationship between purpose and policy in organisations?
  • How is this relationship manifested in selected Australian universities and the experience of individuals working within those institutions?
