Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.
Researcher Level B, intracellular transport proteins, cell wall, Arabidopsis, rice, advanced microscopy
I have projects available for students or postdocs who would like to work on fundamental questions in cell biology, molecular biology and plant physiology. We are currently focusing on how pH and ionic conditions are established in the endomembrane system (Golgi, TGN/EE, ER, etc), with a focus on the function of CCC and CHX proteins in Arabidopsis, rice (Oryza sativa) and soybean in those organelles. Methods we frequently employ are molecular and cell biology techniques, plant phenotyping and advanced microscopy, including diverse techniques such as confocal microscopy, TEM, SEM and others. I am happy to assist interested candidates in applying for funding, please contact me by email.
