Higher Degree by Research Candidate
Adelaide Medical School
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
I am currently undertaking a PhD in Medicine under the supervision of Associate Professor Alice Rumbold, Dr. Zohra Lassi, and Professor Vivienne Moore. The title of my PhD is "Beyond Biomedical Conceptualisations: Social connectedness and positive relationships as protective factors for Adolescent Reproductive Health and Wellbeing". I am a member of the Lifecourse and Intergenerational Health Group, Robinson Research Institute.
The focus of my research is on positive and holistic approaches to adolescent sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing, expanding beyond biological markers of reproductive health to include emotional and social outcomes such as the influence of interpersonal relationships. I also have an interest in health equity, especially related to reproductive health services (such as IVF) and reproductive autonomy with a specific interest in gender equality and sexual consent.
