Postgraduate Student

School of Physical Sciences

Faculty of Sciences

Sophie is a PhD student at the University of Adelaide in the CSSM and CoEPP groups, studying SU(3) breaking of B-mesons in lattice QCD, and working in experimental particle physics as part of the Belle II Collaboration. Sophie is one of the skimming liasons in Belle II's Semileptonic and Missing Energy Group, and studies B tagging software for the semitauonic decay analysis.

In previous research, Sophie investigated cryogenic Er:YAG lasers for future LIGO extensions.
