Sophie is a PhD student at the University of Adelaide in the CSSM and CoEPP groups, studying B-mesons in lattice QCD, and contributing to research of B-decay reconstructions as part of the Belle II Collaboration.

In her previous research she investigated cryogenic Er:YAG lasers for future LIGO extensions.
