Dr. Sopheak Hem is a Research Fellow at the Cooperative Research Centre for Solving Antimicrobial Resistance in Agribusiness, Food, and Environments (SAAFE CRC) and the University of South Australia, specializing in antimicrobial resistance and One Health. Formerly a Group Lead at the Pasteur Institute in Cambodia, she has a background in clinical microbiology, pharmacy, and infectious diseases. She has researched and worked in both clinical laboratories and academic roles in Cambodia, France, and Australia. In recent years Sopheak has turned her attention to the environmental dimensions of antimicrobial resistance and a broader One Health research agenda.
