Sonia Hines is a Senior Research Fellow in the Synthesis Science Division of JBI with a deep interest in evidence-based practice and research methods education. Formerly from Brisbane, she spent 6 years in Alice Springs developing the Mparntwe Centre for Evidence in Health, Flinders University: a JBI Centre of Excellence, leaving as Centre Director and Senior Research Fellow.

Sonia's main area of expertise is systematic reviews and evidence syntheses. She is an experienced trainer in JBI systematic review methods and has conducted a wide range of review types including effectiveness (Cochrane and JBI), risk and aetiology, qualitative, mixed-methods, measurement properties (COSMIN), and scoping reviews. She also has experience in rural and remote, and Indigenous health research.

Sonia's research interests include: research literacy, research pedagogy, evidence-based healthcare, stroke, postoperative nursing care, and systematic review methods.
