Dr Soheil Aber

Soheil (he/his) began his tenure at UniSA as a Research Fellow in September 2022 and has since been promoted to Senior Research Fellow. He obtained all his qualifications (BSC, MSc, PhD) in applied chemistry from the University of Tabriz and finished his PhD in 2003. Soheil started his career as an academic staff member in the Department of Applied Chemistry of the University of Tabriz in 2004 and was promoted to Professor rank in 2015. Environmental chemistry, wastewater treatment, microbial fuel cells (MFCs), advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), and bioelectrochemistry were Soheil's main research interests at the University of Tabriz. He has taught 16 undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervised many MSc and PhD students there. He focused for some time on the olive debittering process and olive phenolic compounds at UniSA.
