Shivani joined the UniSA team in March 2025 as a research associate. Shivani is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in software development and data science. With more than eight years’ experience, she has successfully transformed creative ideas into real-world technology solutions. Shivani has extensive expertise spanning web and application development, database management, and data analysis. She is passionate about continuous learning and is deeply engaged in exploring advanced data analytics, visualization techniques, and database optimisation. As a research associate, Shivani will be utilising her skills to drive innovation and efficiency in technology-driven projects at UniSA.

Actively involved in the development and management of a scalable, user-centric software infrastructure to support testing and visualization efforts within the SCARLET-⍺ and broader SCARLET-Lab initiatives with SmartSat CRC. This includes the integration of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and close collaboration with interdisciplinary research teams across various work packages. Our goal is to deliver a unified, future-ready platform that enables digital engineering, supports simulation-based experimentation, and aligns with digital thread methodologies.

Lead the design of autonomy mission reference architectures and integrated demonstrations that highlight SCARLET-⍺'s technical capabilities. Also, oversee the generation and curation of data repositories to streamline research communication and ensure consistency in testing workflows.

In addition, regularly engage with defense and industry partners to co-develop and present mission concepts, while also contributing to project coordination, stakeholder communication, student supervision, grant writing, and other activities that support the ongoing success of SCARLET-⍺.
