I am a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) student in the School of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Biomedicine. My research focuses on spinal cord injury, with a particular emphasis on the measurement and characterization of pressure and fluid dynamics within the intrathecal space. Using large-animal models and imaging techniques, I investigate cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) volume, distribution, and flow along the spinal column. This aiming to improve preclinical modeling of spinal cord injury and inform more accurate approaches to intrathecal drug delivery, fluid dynamics assessment and injury characterisation.
