Ms Shannen van der Kruk is a health researcher with a broad interest in improving the health and well-being of people in the community and contributing to the greater wellbeing of society. The main project she's currently working on is a five-year Statewide project funded by The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Palliative Care. This program is aimed at improving access to and delivery of palliative care services for under-served populations. Other research topics Shannen has been involved in, include the health and mental health of (fire/flood-affected) farmers, the development, delivery and evaluation of web- and telephone-based support interventions for rural people, and the education of (cancer) patients through the use of virtual reality.
