Mr Shadrack Mutuku
PhD Candidate
Adelaide Medical School
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
Shadrack Mutuku is a PhD student at the Adelaide Medical School and a recipient of the University of Adelaide International Wildcard Scholarship. He holds a MSc. in Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nottingham, UK and a BSc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya. His Masters project involved using an immobilised artificial membrane as a lipid bilayer model to study it's effects on drug-receptor kinetics. In 2016, he has joined the Prostate Cancer Research Group at SAHMRI to exploit the application of mass spectrometry imaging in characterising lipid changes in prostate tissue during anti-cancer therapy.
I am exploiting the application of mass spectrometry imaging in characterising lipid changes in prostate tissue during anti-cancer therapy.
