My research focuses on parking management, travel behaviour and stakeholder preferences, with particular interest in understanding how the potentially competing needs and priorities of different stakeholder groups can be incorporated into transport planning and decision-making.
My PhD uses stated-preference discrete choice experiments and choice-modelling techniques to investigate how residents, business owners, visitors, parents and workers respond to different parking management strategies. The research examines trade-offs involving parking cost, availability, time restrictions, search and cruising time, walking distance, accessibility and safety.
My broader research interests include discrete choice analysis, travel behaviour, transport planning and policy, traffic engineering, road safety, freight transport, active transport and evidence-based transport decision-making.
