PhD graduate in Prof Shaobin Wang's group, working on nanoengineering and simulation of thermoelectric materials for solar-driven energy conversion and environmental remediation.
My research focuses on functional nanomaterials for solar-driven energy conversion, particularly photothermal catalysis and photocatalytic hydrogen production. My PhD work explores how thermoelectric-inspired and phonon-glass electron-crystal materials can be integrated with semiconductor photocatalysts to improve visible and near-infrared light utilisation.
By combining materials synthesis, characterisation, catalytic testing, and theoretical insights, I investigate how morphology, composition, interfacial structure, phase evolution, and light–heat interactions affect catalytic performance. More broadly, I am interested in advanced materials, semiconductor heterojunctions, and nanoscale design strategies for sustainable energy technologies.
