Sarena is currently undertaking her PhD candidature with Translational Vascular Function Research Collaborative at the Basil Hetzel Institute & The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, supervised by A/Prof. Rosanna Tavella, Dr. Tharshy Pasupathy & Prof. John Beltrame. 

Her interest lies in patients with the NOCA (Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries) syndromes.
