I began my professional journey in 1990 with an Advanced Certificate in Home Economics from Crows Nest College of TAFE, NSW, followed by work as a Nutrition Assistant at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. In 1995, I completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Health Promotion) at the University of Wollongong and later a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching from the University of South Australia.
Since then, I have built a diverse teaching career across public and private secondary schools in South Australia and New South Wales, specialising in Food Technology, Hospitality, Textiles, and Child Studies. Alongside classroom teaching, I have held coordinator roles and led several Food Technology faculties. In 2015, I further expanded my qualifications with a part-time Graduate Diploma in Religious Education from the Australian Catholic University.
I am an active member of the Home Economics Institute of Australia (SA) and have previously served on its executive committee.
At UniSA, I commenced in 2024 as a tutor in Food Technology 1. In 2025, I am course coordinating and lecturing in Food Technology 1 and 2, and Child and Community Studies, as well as supervising students undertaking Professional Experience 3.
