Sara Ratna Qanti joined the Centre for Global Food and Resources as PhD student in February
2019 under the supervision of Dr. Alexandra Peralta and Dr. Di Zeng. She is an agricultural development
economist with experience on farmer decision-making models concentrating on technology
adoption and farmer’s access to market, mainly for horticultural products and forestry. Her
master thesis focuses on mango farmer’s behavior and their inclusion in a transformed market
channel in Indonesia. For her PhD, she is focusing on intra-household decision making, farmer’s behavior and women involvement
in soil and water conservation practices in the upper catchment area in West Java, Indonesia.
