A/Prof Fayezi has held professorial positions in Australia and Canada, demonstrating extensive expertise in both research and education. He has a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Deakin, along with other qualifications, including an MBA, MEd and GCEd.
Currently, he serves as an Enterprise Fellow and Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management at the School of Management. Previously, A/Prof Fayezi was the Director of Research & Engagement at Memorial University in Canada and held academic roles as an Assistant/Associate Professor at Monash, Swinburne & La Trobe, alongside other academic and industry positions.
His latest research focuses on resilience, sustainability, and governance in global supply chains. He has published in top-tier (FT50/A*/A) journals including Production and Operations Management, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Industrial Marketing Management, and International Journal of Management Reviews.
A/Prof Fayezi’s research interests include, but are not limited to, resilience, sustainability, and governance in multi-tier supply chains.
Prospective PhD applicants interested in working under A/Prof Fayezi’s supervision should submit the following materials:
- A video-recorded pitch of no more than five minutes outlining their profile, motivation, and proposed research topic.
- A CV that includes details of their methods expertise/training and recent publications.
- Evidence that their Masters/Honours degree included at least 50% of its full-time equivalent load dedicated to research, such as a dissertation and research courses making up at least 50% of total course credits.
- A PhD proposal, typically around 5,000 words.
