Dr Ruby (Hong Ngoc) Nguyen is a Lecturer at the School of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Adelaide. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, where she was honoured with the 'Dean’s Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses 2022.' Her research areas include Productivity and Efficiency Analysis, Applied Econometrics, Applied Economics, and Development Economics. Her work has been published in top-ranked journals, such as the European Journal of Operational Research and Omega (the International Journal of Management Science), as well as other peer-reviewed journals.

Before joining the University of Adelaide, she worked as a lecturer and course coordinator at the University of Queensland. She also served as a Macroeconomic Researcher at the Viet Nam Institute for Economic and Policy Research, University of Economics and Business, Viet Nam National University, Hanoi. She is currently affiliated with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW).

 

My research interests are Productivity and Efficiency Analysis, Applied Econometrics, Applied Economics, and Development Economics.
