・I am passionate about the creative journeys of all knowledge forms and sources in formal education.・My research and teaching background is in cultural studies, higher education and pedagogy, film and media studies. ・My personal research interests include Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, Aamir Khan, The Mentalist TV series, Oscar Wilde and Jane Austen. ・I speak English, Vietnamese and Japanese. I have engaged in professional translation work among these 3 languages.・My PhD project (completed May 2023) investigated how university lecturers integrate feature films and television series into their disciplinary teaching, and what can be done to improve their pedagogies based on recent empirical findings from cognitive science and educational psychology.・I hold a Diploma of Counselling (completed Jan 2023) from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) to further develop my understanding of good teaching and learning practice.・ I also create handmade embroideries and paintings for gallery exhibitions, commissions, and sales.
