Dr Rohan Glover is a postdoctoral research fellow and science leader at the Australian Atom Trap Trace Analysis (ATTA) facility (ua.edu.au/atta). ATTA is a quantum technology providing measurement of trace argon and krypton gas is present in water to parts per quadrillion. The facility addresses a global need for additional measurement capacity and provides unique data for Australian environmental and earth sciences.

Rohan completed his PhD at Griffith University, QLD, in 2012 working on noble gas atom trapping. His PhD project investigated the collisional dynamics between ultracold trapped metastable neon atoms with background gas particles and under the influence of external fields. Since then he has continued to work in the field of atom trapping spending several years at the University of Liege in Belgium, trapping short lived radioisotopes with applications in fundamental physics, exploring beyond standard model physics at the precision frontier. Rohan returned to Australia and Griffith University working on techniques for exciting atoms using intense lasers which addresses a key challenge that currently limits the application of ATTA. In 2019, Rohan moved to the University of Adelaide where the Australian ATTA facility is located.
