Rob Freda is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Management with a focus on building regulation and compliance with the Building Code of Australia. Rob holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of South Australia. Rob is currently undertaking a PhD where he is developing a manageable and consistent framework for regulatory building inspections for class 2-9 buildings in South Australia.
Rob’s teaching interests are in building surveying and building compliance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) with an emphasis on authentic teaching and learning. Rob’s research focus is on integrating regulatory building compliance with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Virtual Reality (VR) to increase efficiency and consistency of building inspections for building surveyors.
