I explore the architecture of persuasion. My research bridges applied linguistics and cognitive psychology to understand how narratives, especially conspiratorial ones, take root in the human mind. My focus is on the most significant technological shift of our era: the emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs). I investigate how these powerful tools are transforming the dynamics of misinformation, moving beyond mere amplification to become active participants in the dialogue of belief. Guided by Dr. Toby Prike, Dr. Conrad Perry, and Dr. Rachel Stephens, my work aims to build a deeper, more critical understanding of our new, algorithmically-shaped information environment.
