Investigating teachers’ perceptions and attitudes towards critical thinking teaching in English language classes in Indonesia
Description:
The project aims to address the gaps in understanding of critical thinking and its assessment in the Indonesian English Language Teaching (ELT) high school curriculum. The study’s significance is to investigate teachers’ perceptions, experiences, teaching practices and attitudes to describe the integration of critical thinking in English language classes focusing on listening and speaking skills. The study outcomes will contribute theories and practices of integrating listening and speaking skills in critical thinking in the form of publications. The study will also develop knowledge that will inform Indonesian ELT pre-service and in-service teachers’ training and workshops in critical thinking.
