Rebecca Tooher is Director Education Strategy and Teaching Excellence in the Division of Academic and Student Engagement. Rebecca leads the Education Strategy and Teaching Excellence team which supports the Pro-Vice Chancellor Student Learning in planning and coordinating the implementation of the Strategy for Learning, Teaching and Assessment, and coordinates central University initiatives in reward, recognition, development and celebration of teaching.
Prior to taking up the role in June 2018 Rebecca was a Senior Lecturer in Public Health in the School of Public Health and an Education Specialist. She was inaugural Chair of the Executive Group of the Adelaide Education Academy. Rebecca led major curriculum renewal in postgraduate and undergraduate public health and developed innovative interactive and experiential courses for undergraduate and postgraduate public health programs. Rebecca's research specialisations include research methodology particularly in translational research and evidence-based practice. She has a special interest in the use of qualitative, mixed methods and deliberative approaches for eliciting public and community views about matters of policy.
