Dr Ranesh Naha received his PhD in Information Technology from the University of Tasmania in 2021. Currently, he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the University of Adelaide. He authored several research articles in top-ranking international journals published by world-renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, ACM, IEEE, Taylor & Francis and Wiley. In addition, he contributed to several impactful research in Fog computing, IoT/Edge simulation and Fog security.

Dr Naha published his works in many high-impact journals, including Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JCR IF: 7.574), Future Generation Computer System (JCR IF: 7.307), Technology in Society (JCR IF: 6.879), Computer Networks (JCR IF: 5.493) and Computer Communications (JCR IF: 5.047). To date, he published 19 journal articles, 5 conference papers and 3 book chapters; all of them are peer-reviewed, and most of his journal articles are ISI indexed. According to google scholar, his current h-index is 13, and his i10-index is 14. One of his research works, published in 2018, has been recognised as a highly cited paper (top 1% of the academic field of Engineering in the World) for three consecutive years by Web of Science. Furthermore, his three research works published in 2020 falls into 89th, 98th and 99th citation percentile according to the Web of Science.

Dr Naha was awarded the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship (TGRS) in 2017 for supporting his PhD studies. During his MSc studies, he was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) provided by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, in 2012. Dr Naha secured industry research funding (AU$20,500) with APR.Intern in 2021, where he worked on a defence project. His research interests include wired and wireless networks, distributed computing (Fog/Edge/Cloud), security, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and Software-defined networking (SDN). He has served as a TPC member for several international conferences. In addition, he is an active reviewer for top computer science journals.
