Dr Radoslaw Suchecki

Radoslaw is a Bioinformatician with a strong background in Computing Sciences. He has almost 10 years experience in the field of bioinformatics with expertise in scientific software and pipeline development, genomics, phylogenetics, bioinformatics training and high-performance computing.

Radoslaw first applied his algorithm development skills in the field of bioinformatics in the final year of his BSc in applied computing science. This has led him to taking up a PhD in computational biology. His PhD work focused primarily on algorithms and distance measures for phylogenetic networks and multilabelled trees. His current research is largely concerned with genomics and transcriptomics of bread wheat. For this, he develops high performance algorithms and computational pipelines. Radoslaw also develops web applications for integration and visualization of biological data. He is also involved in Linux system administration.
