Quin Tran is a Lecturer & Course Coordinator at Adelaide University College of Business and Law (Ehrenberg-Bass Institute of Marketing Science). In the area of business education, Quin has a strong interest in teaching and learning pedagogies about building high performing teams and strong communities.
In 2025, Quin graduated from the University of Adelaide’s Pathways to Politics for Women — a program that stretched and strengthened her commitment to community leadership.
Quin is an active member and volunteer within the Vietnamese Community in South Australia, recently re-elected as the first female President since 1978.
In November 2022, Quin was elected as Councillor for the Woodville Ward in the City of Charles Sturt.
In July 2021, Quin was appointed as Boardmember on the South Australian Multicultural Commission (SAMC). Here, she collaborates with all levels of government through the Minister to contribute towards the planning, leadership and active engagement of intercultural community initiatives to determine the needs and aspirations of South Australia's diverse communities.
Quin has over 30 years combined industry experience in the financial services sector, academia and public service. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma in Marketing, Master of Marketing, and has completed postgraduate studies in Education (Digital Learning) and Pathways to Politics for Women.
Quin adopts a student-centric teaching style to add value to students' learning experiences to prepare them for their business careers. For consecutive years from 2010 to 2021, she has been nominated for Teaching and Learning Excellence Awards at UniSA Business School. She was formally recognised for her commitment to high quality teaching and student engagement as Recipient of the UniSA Business School Teaching and Learning Awards from 2013 to 2021.
In 2018, she won the Community and Language Schools Primary Teacher of the Year Award presented by the Minister for Education SA; and more recently, Quin was recipient of the 2024 National Community Language Schools Award presented by Minister for Multicultural Affairs SA. The Award demonstrates her commitment to growing community language schools and extending the profile of the whole sector in multicultural South Australia.
Quin has co-authored a paper and poster about team-based learning in a marketing simulation course. She has presented nationally and internationally, at the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference (2016 and 2022) and Higher Education Research Conference (2016 and 2022).
