Dr Ping Xiong is Senior Lecturer in law at the UniSA: Justice & Society. Dr Xiong’s research interests are in the field of International Economic Law. Prior to joining the UniSA: Justice & Society, Dr Xiong held an academic position at the Victoria University of Wellington before she joined UniSA.
Dr Xiong research includes a particular focus on intellectual property policy in international trade and the corresponding implications of such policies on free trade agreements and international human rights. Dr Xiong also maintains a research interest in comparative law analysis concerning the Chinese legal system and the application of laws in China in relation to the requirements of international law. This includes Chinese trade secrets law and the legal, trade and investment challenges of Chinese companies overseas.
Dr Xiong has published extensively including a book, book chapters and numerous journal articles.
Dr Xiong holds a PhD in law and a LLM.  Dr Xiong is an associate member of the Centre for Asian Business.
