Dr Phoebe Drioli-Phillips

School of Psychology

College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences

I am currently completing a Master of Psychology (Health) in order to seek registration as a general psychologist. Prior to this, I completed my PhD in Medicine (Psychology) in 2020. My doctoral research primarily used qualitative methodologies, to improve understandings how how men experience anxiety symptomatology. Through this research I aimed to improve the identification of distressed men by health care providers, as well as to develop more effective public health messaging. I also have research experience in a number of areas including in health care communication (particularly in aged care settings), nursing practice and education, suicide prevention and mental health concerns within refugee and asylum seeker populations.

Phoebe's research interests are men's mental health, parenting, and maternal and infant mental health.
