Panchali Yasara Weerakoon is a PhD researcher in Construction Management at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University of Adelaide. She graduated with a BSc (Hons.) in Quantity Surveying and later completed an MSc (by Research) in Building Economics at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Prior to commencing her doctoral studies, she gained over six years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor in different capacities across the Sri Lankan construction industry, followed by academic appointments as an Academic Support Officer at the Colombo School of Construction Technology and a Visiting Lecturer at the University College of Construction Technology. Her research interests include sustainable construction, circular economy, stakeholder engagement, value creation, and modern methods of construction.
Panchali Weerakoon is a PhD researcher in Construction Management at the School of Civil Engineering and Construction Management, Adelaide University. She graduated from the University of Salford in 2018 and subsequently joined the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor. Over four years, she gained extensive professional experience working with several organizations, developing a strong foundation in quantity surveying practice.
Following her industry experience, she pursued a Master’s by Research in Building Economics at the University of Moratuwa. Upon completing her Master’s degree, she transitioned into academia, undertaking teaching and research roles at the Colombo School of Construction Technology and the University College of Construction Technology in Sri Lanka. She is currently continuing her academic and research career at the University of Adelaide.
