I am currently a Senior Lecturer (Surveying and Mapping) within the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences (PCES). Before joining academia in 2006, I worked for Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s national mapping agency for 21 years and I use this extensive experience to add authenticity to my teaching and together with my natural enthusiasm, I create an engaging learning arena for students.
I am passionate about students positively engaging with their studies and university life. In particular, I view the First-Year experience as pivotal to student success and consequently, I promote quality Orientation and Transition activities to aid student Retention.
