My research interests include facial expressions of emotions, neurophysiological activity associated with emotion perception, and emotion processing in autism. For example, I would like to understand how emotion understanding and sharing modulate brain waves captured by EEG in people with different levels of autistic traits and anxiety. Currently, I focus on sensorimotor mirroring mechanism as a potential neural signature of understanding other minds. Also, I enjoy supervising fourth year student projects in the broader field of social cognition, such as the impact of contextual influences on our social-emotional evaluations of faces.
