Dr Nicola Eastaff-Leung
AHMS Transition Manager - Infrastructure Office
Dr Eastaff-Leung began as a researcher at Adelaide University completing a PhD through the Department of Pathology. Her PhD looked at Regulatory T cells and Th17 inflammatory cytokines in patients with Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis. Further postdoctoral research continued into the role of regulatory T cells in a range of autoimmune diseases, and specifically looking at additional markers to identify these cells for potential cell therapy, using T cells isolated from human cord blood. Nicola has taken a break from research to join the AHMS project team, and working to move 20 Adelaide University labs into the new AHMS building (opening 2017).
