Dr Nicola Eastaff-LeungLecturer/Course CoordinatorAdelaide Medical SchoolDr Eastaff-Leung began as a researcher at Adelaide University completing a PhD through the Department of Pathology. Her PhD looked at Regulatory T cells and Th17 inflammatory cytokines in patients with Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis. Further postdoctoral research continued into the role of regulatory T cells in a range of autoimmune diseases, and specifically looking at additional markers to identify these cells for potential cell therapy, using T cells isolated from human cord blood.
