
Nicola Baker

Nicola is currently in her final year as a PhD candidate in the School of Psychology. Her research focus is at the intersection of elite performance, employee wellbeing and organisational behaviour. Her current research intersects with the performing arts and involves a qualitative investigation of psychological wellbeing as experienced by professional musicians. This follows a prior career as a professional classical musician and educator, which involved teaching at the University of Auckland School of Music. She has presented findings from her research at the 2024 Australian Music & Psychology Society conference, the 2023 Global Arts and Psychology Seminar (Melbourne hub) and received a career development grant for her presentation at the 2023 Australian Society for Performing Arts Health conference in Brisbane.
