Nick Warner joined the University of Adelaide as an analyst programmer and System Administrator in 2000. Since then he has been involved in researching and developing software tools for the following clients:Telstra - Fixed Line and Mobile telephone network dimensioning and capacity planning software for GPRS, WCDMA and LTE;Dunlop Flexible Foams - An optimisation of their order cutting process to reduce waste and save on costs;Defence Science Technology Organisation (DSTO) - Modelling and visualisation of mobile adhoc wireless networks (MANETS);General Motors Holden - Investigation into optimisation of their assembly line;SANLAB - Investigation and planning of their test network;CSL Hong Kong - Network dimensioning and capacity planning software for WCDMA and LTE;WA Lotteries - Validation of parts of their existing software systems.Nick has also worked on prototyping and initial development of a network emulation tool, FOGNET, that allows both "Human-in-the-loop" and "System-in-the-loop" real-time interaction within large, emulated fixed and/or wireless networks (both stationary and mobile).
