“The Study of three-dimensional Graphene-based Scaffolds in Neural Tissue Engineering”
- This project aims to construct functional three-dimensional bioscaffolds based on graphene derivatives with porous structure and improved performance for advanced neural tissue engineering. The proposed matrix is utilized to enhance neuron cell interactions and act as a nerve conduit for neurological diseases.
“Bridging the gap between Regenerative Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)”
- In Australia, 12,000 people are living with SCIs and near 350 new cases reported annually. In order to investigate the effective capability of graphene-based scaffolds in nerve regeneration, this project involves investigating the feasibility of graphene composite scaffolds to assess parameters of central nervous system injury to demonstrate the therapeutic efficacy of a novel cellular transplant technique by employing stem cells from human teeth.
