I have been working in the Early Childhood Education field for many years in a range of settings, including Childcare Centres, Preschools, Early Learning Centres, as a Junior School R-2 Classroom Teacher and in leadership positions as Teaching and Learning Coordinator and Head of Early Years. I am passionate about education and thoroughly enjoy the continuous teaching and learning process. I am particularly interested in how preschools and schools can support children’s home languages, backgrounds and cultures.
I am currently working on a PhD regarding young multilingual learners and am also enjoying lecturing and supporting pre-service teachers throughout their educational journey. I have a deep connection to my Greek culture and love travelling to Greece when I can as it feels like my second home.

Natalie (Nathalia) Natsias is currently working on a PhD researching the topic of young multilingual learners and is in her final year of thesis writing. The Thesis title is: Fostering Young Children's Multilingual Literacies: A Critical Participatory Action Research Study with Early Childhood Educators.

She is a member of the Centre for Research in Education and Social Inclusion (CRESI), the Australian Association of Research in Education (AARE) and the European Association for Research on Learning and Inclusion (EARLI). Natalie has presented preliminary findings in both national and international conferences related to the research area of Multilingual Literacies in Early Childhood.
