A long-standing interest in alternative states of consciousness and clinical work with people experiencing psychosis, led Monika to pursue a Ph.D. investigating the differentiation of psychosis and spiritual emergency. She is currently a visiting research fellow at The University of Adelaide where she continues research in this field.
Monika is also a registered psychologist utilising mind/body integrative psychotherapies to facilitate change toward wholistic wellbeing. She has practiced across the lifespan with children and families in community health, teenagers in youth organisations, university students and adults in psychiatric clinics.
With 20 years of practice in yoga and an interest in sound and vibrational healing, Monika pursued further studies of Nada Yoga in India. She is also a certified mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) teacher and has created mindfulness programs for university staff, students, children and community groups.
