Mohsi Jawaid is a Grant Funded Researcher at Adelaide University’s AIML and COROL facility, specializing in vision-based orbital guidance, navigation, and control algorithms. Following the submission of his Ph.D. thesis on event-based spacecraft pose estimation in 2026, his work continues to advance autonomous systems, multi-robot calibration, and space domain awareness. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Advanced) from the University of Adelaide (2018), where he received the Australian Computer Society Prize, and he previously led team TangoUnchained to top rankings in the ESA Kelvins Pose Estimation Challenge. Mohsi pairs his research with strong software engineering experience from Maptek, where he developed machine learning features for DomainMCF and 3D spatial visualization tools, and academic experience as an Object-Oriented Programming Lecturer. A proficient programmer in Python and C++, he has published extensively in leading robotics and aerospace forums, including IEEE ICRA, IROS, ISPARO, Acta Astronautica, and Aerospace Science and Technology.

Under the Australian Institute of Machine Learning, I am conducting research in Domain Adaptation for the task of Spacecraft Pose Estimation.
